Middle Straits Lake

Located in Oakland County, Michigan

Middle Straits Lake is 172 acres in West Bloomfield Township, offering a variety of outdoor recreation and leisure activities in a family-friendly environment for everyone to enjoy.

The Pontiac General Hospital is located nine miles northeast. The Oakland County International Airport is located 7.5 miles north of the lake.

Outdoor Recreation

Bloomer Park, located on the south part of the lake, features outdoor activities for all ages, including a basketball court, shoreline fishing, a playground, and picnic areas. There are nature trails for people to hike and bike on, offering beautiful views of nature. This park is great for outdoor fun with friends and family.

Twin Beach Park, located on the northeast shore of the lake, offers more than six acres of outdoor activities. Its amenities include a clubhouse, playgrounds, picnic table, grills, sports fields, beach and swim area, boat ramp, and docking privileges. The park creates a great environment to enjoy a nice, sunny day.

Before you head out on the water, remember to grab your rod and reel! Anglers can expect to catch bluegill, largemouth bass, rock bass, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch.

Other Leisure Activities

The Bay Pointe Golf Club features a wonderful 18-hole golf course with gorgeous views of the lake in the background. The club offers Bay Pointe’s Outdoor Grill with food and beverages either while playing through the course or to end the day off. It is located on the west side of the lake and is open from Wednesday to Sunday during the golf season.

On the west side of the lake, there are many shops and restaurants to experience in a family-friendly environment creating great places to browse through and dine in. There are several local coffee shops around the lake.
